Bill and Susan Kachler began Changing Hearts Ministry six years ago in order to share the gospel message of Jesus Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection with the inmates of the Mason County Detention Center, Maysville, Kentucky. Thanks to the prayers and support from the sponsorship of Immanuel Baptist Church there have been 86 decisions made including salvation, rededication, and baptism since 2013.

Alternating services for men and women are held each Sunday at 2:30 p.m. A message is given from the Bible ending with the Roman Road plan of salvation each Sunday. Prayer requests are made; testimonies welcomed; and gospel tracts and C?all to Glory?daily devotionals are distributed.

Our baptizing team including the Hamilton and Dugan families conducts a baptismal service each Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Mason County Detention Center for any who were saved the previous Sunday and desire to be baptized. Also, anyone who was previously saved, shares the witness of their salvation, and desires to be baptized may also be baptized.

At the end of the baptismal service, each person baptized receives a baptismal certificate, a S?oul Winners New Testament?, and a copy of ?Fruit That Remains,?a discipleship workbook. Additionally a baptismal information card is completed to add the new believer to the church membership records.

Ladies in the church correspond weekly with each incarcerated new convert to share Scripture and encouragement to persevere and grow in his/her new faith and relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our desire is to encourage new converts as members to attend Immanuel Baptist Church or a nearby Bible believing church, and get to know their brothers and sisters in the Lord, and grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord along with us.
